Her doctoral dissertation was on Doris Lessing. Her interests include women’s writing, Twentieth-century fiction and poetry and contemporary culture.

NAVTEJ SARNA is a diplomat and author of the novels The Exile and We Weren't Lovers Like That as well as the short story collection Winter Evenings. His non-fiction works include The Book of Nanak; Folk Tales of Poland and a translation of Guru Gobind Singh’s Zafarnama. His most recent work is Savage Harvest, a translation of Punjabi Partition short stories.
SONAL SHAH is associate editor at The Caravan and former editor of Time Out Delhi.
LAKSHMI SUBRAMANIAN is currently Professor of History and Dean academic at the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta. She has several books and publications to her credit, including From the Tanjore Court to the Madras Music Academy: A Social History of Music in South India (OUP, 2006) and New Mansions for Music: Performance, pedagogy and criticism (Social Science Press, 2008).
K S SUBRAMANIAN was a Member of the Concerned Citizens’ Tribunal on Gujarat 2002 led by Justice VR Krishna Iyer. He is the author of the recently published Security, Governance and Democratic Rights: Essays on the Northeast (Niyogi Books, 2014).
SALIL TRIPATHI is contributing editor at Mint and The Caravan and lives in London. Author of Offence: The Hindu Case, he is writing a book on the Bangladesh war that Aleph Book Company will publish.
RATNAKAR TRIPATHY is a senior research fellow at the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI), Patna, Bihar. His main interest areas are the Indian culture industry, popular culture, migration, and philosophy of social sciences.
