V. GEETHA is a feminist writer and translator, interested in caste, labour, history and education. Currently, she is Editorial Director, Tara Books, Chennai.

BHASKAR GHOSE has been a civil servant and, for the last 20 years, a columnist with newspapers and magazines. He has written four books -— two nonfiction and two novels. His latest novel Parricide was published by HarperCollins this year. He lives in Delhi.

MOHAN GURUSWAMY is a Visiting Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation and the Forum for Strategic Initiatives, New Delhi; and heads the Centre for Policy Alternatives, New Delhi, an independent and privately funded think-tank. He is the author of several books on policy issues, the latest being Chasing the Dragon: Will India Catch-up with China?

MANOJ JOSHI is a Distinguished Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi. He is the author of two books of Kashmir: Lost Rebellion: Kashmir in the Nineties (Penguin, 1999) and Kashmir 1947-1965: A Story Retold (India Research Press, 2008).

PREM SHANKAR JHA is a former editor of the Hindustan Times and media adviser to Prime Minister VP Singh. He is the author of Twilight of the Nation State: Globalisation, Chaos and War, published by Sage, with an Introduction by Eric Hobsbawm

ANANT MARINGANTI is a social geographer and director of Hyderabad Urban Lab, a multidisciplinary urban research initiative.

SHARANYA MANIVANNAN is a writer and illustrator based in Chennai. Her first book of poems was Witchcraft.

ANITA ROY is a writer, editor and publisher. She is co-editor of Eat the Sky, Drink the Ocean and several other anthologies. Having lived in Delhi for 20 years, she has recently moved back to the UK.

ANANDHI S. is an Associate Professor at the Madras Institute of Development Studies. A feminist historian and a researcher in Gender Studies, she has widely published in the area of caste and gender.

PAHI SAIKIA teaches Political Science at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.

AMRITA SEN is a teacher of English Literature. She has taught at universities in the US and India. She specialises in early modern post-colonial studies

MANISHA SETHI teaches at the Centre for the Study of Comparative Religions and Civilizations at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She is the author, most recently, of Kafkaland: Prejudice, Law and Counterterrorism in India (Three Essays, 2014).

HARLEEN SINGH is an Associate Professor of Literature and Women’s Studies at Brandeis University.

BRIJ TANKHA retired as Professor of Modern Japanese History at the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi. He is currently an Honorary Fellow and Co-ordinator of the East Asia Programme, Institute of Chinese Studies.
