ARGHA KUMAR BANERJEE is Dean of Arts, St Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata.

SANJAY BARBORA is a sociologist. He teaches at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati Campus.

URVASHI BUTALIA is a feminist writer and publisher and head of Zubaan Publishers. She is also the author of the award-winning history of Partition, The Other Side of Silence: Voices from the Partition of India.

SURANJANA CHOUDHURY teaches Literature at North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. Her works have been published in several journals and magazines including Scroll.in, The Wire, The Statesman, Café Dissensus, Humanities Underground, Coldnoon Travel Poetics and Elsewhere.

SUNITI BHUSHAN DATTA is a wildlife biologist, nature educator and wilderness/mountain skills instructor, based in the Doon Valley.

ANKUR DATTA is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the South Asian University. He is interested in the study of displacements, violence and victimhood.

VIPUL DUTTA teaches History at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.

SAMAR HALARNKAR is a columnist and reporter based in Bangalore.

SUSAN HARIS is a doctoral candidate in Literature and Philosophy at the
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

CHARANJEET KAUR is an academician who has published two books of poetry, and is a Contributing Editor with Muse India – the literary ejournal.

TABISH KHAIR is an author, poet and critic and Associate Professor in the Department of English, University of Aarhus, Denmark. His recent published work includes a study, The New Xenophobia (Oxford University Press, 2016) and a novel, Just Another Jihadi Jane (Penguin/Periscope Books/Interlink, 2016).

JAY MAZOOMDAAR is a journalist, now with The Indian Express. He is the author of The Age of Endings: Explorations and Investigations into the Indian Wild (2016) and The Panama Papers: The Untold India Story of the Trailblazing Global Offshore Investigation (2019).

AANCHAL MALHOTRA is an oral historian and author of Remnants of A Separation: A History of the Partition through Material Memory, shortlisted most recently for the British Academy’s 2019 Nayef Al-Rodhan Prize for Global Cultural Understanding.

ABIR LAL MAZUMDER is a research scholar in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, South Asian University, New Delhi. His doctoral thesis is on the shifts in the socio-political outlook of the people of Indian-Chinese descent living in India.

TILOTTOMA MISRA is a writer and critic. She was formerly a Professor of English at
Dibrugarh University.

RANJIT LAL has written over 25 books for children and adults, and has a keen interest in natural history, birds, dogs and automobiles.

VIKRAMAJIT RAM is a writer of art history and historical fiction. He has a special interest in the studio practices of the Mughal master painters. He lives in Bangalore.

T R SHANKAR RAMAN is a wildlife scientist and writer with the Nature Conservation Foundation, India. He is the author of The Wild Heart of India: Nature and Conservation in the City, the Country, and the Wild (OUP, 2019).

VASANT SABERWAL has undertaken research in the Himalaya on pastoralism and on wildlife-human conflicts. He is currently the Director of the Centre for Pastoralism.

BITTU SAHGAL is the Founder of Sanctuary Nature Foundation and Editor of Sanctuary Asia.

AMRITA SEN is an Associate Professor at the University of Calcutta. Her research looks at the early history and culture of the English East India Company. She is the co-editor of the Special Issue of the Journal for Early Modern Cultural Studies on the “Alternative Histories of the East India Company” and co-editor of a collection of essays Civic Performance: Pageantry and Entertainments in Early Modern London.

REBA SOM is an author and academic. Her publications include Gandhi, Bose, Nehru and the Making of the Modern Indian Mind (Penguin 2004), Rabindranath Tagore: The Singer and His Song (Penguin, 2009) and Margot: Sister Nivedita of Vivekananda (Penguin Random House, 2017).

NITIN SETHI writes on the political economy, resource conflicts and governance.

ARKAJA SINGH is a Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research. Her work and interests include cities, sanitation, water, land and public administration.

ANDREW WHITEHEAD is an Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham in England and the author of The Lives of Freda: the political, spiritual and personal journeys of Freda Bedi (Speaking Tiger, 2019).
