AMITA BAVISKAR teaches at Ashoka University. Her last book was Uncivil City: Ecology, Equity and the Commons in Delhi (Sage/Yoda Press, 2020).

GAUTAM BHATIA is a Delhi-based architect and artist, who has written extensively on architecture. His books include the biography Laurie Baker: Life, Work, and Writings, Punjabi Baroque and Other Memories of Architecture (1994), Silent Spaces and Other Stories of Architecture (1994) and Malaria Dreams and Other Visions of Architecture (1996).

SUPRIYA CHAUDHURI is Professor Emerita in the Department of English at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

PRAVINA COOPER teaches in the Comparative World Literature Department and in the Film and Theatre Department at California State University, Long Beach. She has published in journals such as Asian Cinema and Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies.

OM PRAKASH DWIVEDI is an Associate Professor of English Literature, Bennett University.

SHOHINI GHOSH is Sajjad Zaheer Professor at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

NEELUM SARAN GOUR is a fiction writer. Her most recent novel, Requiem In Raga Janki (Penguin Viking), won the Hindu Fiction Prize for 2018.

PREM SHANKAR JHA is a former media adviser to Prime Minister VP Singh and former Editor of the Hindustan Times and the Financial Express.

MANOJ JOSHI is a Distinguished Fellow of the Observer Research Foundation and the author of Understanding the India China Border: The Enduring Threat of War in the High Himalayas (Hurst, 2022).

TABISH KHAIR is an Associate Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. His latest novel is The Body by The Shore (2022).

SMRUTI KOPPIKAR is an award-winning Mumbai-based journalist with 35 years of experience in reporting and writing on a range of subjects from communal riots to crime and general elections to malnutrition. She is Founder Editor of Question of Cities. She teaches Journalism and Media Studies.

MATHANGI KRISHNAMURTHY is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She researches and writes on body, gender, urban culture and medicine.

A G KRISHNA MENON is an architect and urban planner.

RADHA KUMAR is the author of Paradise at War: A Political History of Jammu and Kashmir (Aleph Book Company, 2018).

NANDINI LAL is a writer, critic and columnist based in Washington DC.

PRANAY LAL is a natural history writer, and the author of Indica: A Deep Natural History of the Indian Subcontinent (Penguin Random House India, 2016), and Invisible Empire: The Natural History of the Viruses (Penguin Viking, 2021).

ANANT MARINGANTI is a geographer, urbanist and Director of Hyderabad Urban Lab Foundation. He is based in Hyderabad.

SURESH MENON’s books include Bishan: Portrait of a Cricketer, Sachin: Genius Unplugged, and Pataudi: The Nawab of Cricket. His most recent book is a collection of essays on Literature, Why Don’t You Write Something I Might Read? (Westland Publications, 2021).

SUMITRA NAIR is a doctoral scholar in Sociology and Anthropology at Ashoka University. Her research focuses on coastal monsoon cities in the context of climate change. She also works at the intersections of qualitative research methods, science studies, design studies, and aesthetics.

PAMELA PHILIPOSE is a Delhi-based journalist and author of Media’s Shifting Terrain: Five Years that Transformed the Way Indian Communicates (Orient Blackswan, 2019).

ELLORA PURI teaches Political Science at the University of Jammu.

MOHAN RAO was formerly a Professor at the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
