SUBHASHINI ALI’s parents, Prem and Lakshmi Sahgal, were both Indian National Army veterans. She joined the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in 1970 and has been a Party worker since then.

URVASHI BUTALIA is a feminist writer and publisher and head of Zubaan Publishers. She is also the author of the award-winning history of Partition, The Other Side of Silence: Voices from the Partition of India.

SUPRIYA CHAUDHURI is Professor Emerita in the Department of English at Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

SAYANDEB CHOWDHURY teaches in the School of Letters, Ambedkar University, Delhi. He writes on books, culture and politics; and is the author of Uttam Kumar: A Life in Cinema (Bloomsbury, 2021).

PRAVINA COOPER teaches in the Comparative World Literature Department and in the Film and Theatre Department at California State University, Long Beach. She has published in journals such as Asian Cinema and Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies.

PRADIP KUMAR DATTA was a Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has worked on literary texts, Cultural Studies, Modern Indian History and Indian Political Thought. He is currently engaged in a research project on Visva-Bharati.

MAYA DODD teaches in the Department of Humanities at FLAME University, Pune, where she directs the Centre for Legislative Education and Research. She works on Digital Humanities in India.

NIKHIL GOVIND is a Professor and the Head of the Manipal Centre for Humanities, Karnataka.

RAKHSHANDA JALIL is a writer, translator and literary historian. She writes on Literature, Culture and Society.

MALAVIKA KARLEKAR is Editor of the Indian Journal of Gender Studies and Curator of Representing Indian Women: A Visual Documentary, 1875-1947 at the Centre for Women’s Development Studies (CWDS), New Delhi.

KUMAR KETKAR is currently a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. He has been a journalist for the past 50 years.

TABISH KHAIR is an Associate Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. He is the author of various books, including poetry collections, studies and novels. His latest novels are Jihadi Jane (Penguin, 2016), Night of Happiness (Picador, 2018) and most recently The Body by the Shore (Interlink Books, 2022).

SANJEEV KUMAR is a Professor in the Department of Hindi, Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi. He is also Editor of Alochna, a quarterly journal of literary criticism in Hindi.

ANURADHA MARWAH is a Professor of English at Zakir Husain College, Delhi. She is the author of The Higher Education of Geetika Mehendiratta, one of the earliest campus novels to be written in Indian English. She is also a playwright and theatre director.

PULIN B NAYAK was a Professor of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics.

UFAQUE PAIKER is a Teaching Fellow at the Department of History in Ashoka University. She got her MPhil and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her MPhil was on the students’ politics of Aligarh Muslim University and PhD on the history of Urdu language in Bihar.

SHAILESH PATHAK is Director of the Indian School of Public Policy. He earlier spent 19 years in the private corporate sector and 17 in government as a member of the Indian Administrative Service.

RITUPARNA SENGUPTA is a Visiting Faculty of English at Ashoka University.

AJAY SINHA is the Julie ’73 and Helene ’49 Herzig Professor in the Art History and Architectural Studies Department at Mount Holyoke College, USA. His recent publications include Photo-Attractions: An Indian Dancer, an American Photographer, and a German Camera (Rutgers University Press, 2023).

HARISH TRIVEDI was a contributor to a collection of memoirs of Agyeya, Apne Apne Agyeya (edited by Om Thanvi, Vani Prakashan, 2011).
